LOSC Basketball
Welcome to the Live Oak Sports Complex Basketball Program! Whether your child is learning to dribble for the first time or already confident on the court, we’re proud to offer a supportive, fun, and inclusive environment for players of all ages and skill levels. Our program focuses on fundamentals, teamwork, and sportsmanship—while making sure every player has a chance to grow, compete, and enjoy the game.
Team Placement & Requests
- All players are guaranteed placement on a team, regardless of skill level.
- Team/coach/player requests are not guaranteed. Only the children of coaches may be guaranteed to be on a specific team.
- To make a request, email losc@lprd2.com after completing registration.
- Once teams have been formed, coaches are provided with rosters and the contact information for each player. Coaches will contact their players before the start of practice.
Practice & Game Information
- Practices are held 1-2 times a week on weeknights, starting at 6:00 PM (days and times may vary each week, depending on court availability and the coach’s schedule).
- All practices and games are held at Live Oak Middle School, Live Oak Jr High, and Denham Springs High School..
- Each team will play two games per week on Friday evenings and Saturdays.
What’s Provided
- Team jerseys and shorts are provided by LOSC with each registration.
What Players Need to Bring
- Athletic shoes
- Age-appropriate size basketball
